___ Purity Levels

Committed to Purity

Cesium Products:

Our unique process yields various product grades depending on the distinct removal of particular impurities. We monitor the quality of raw materials and intermediates and supply products with a larger number of analysed impurities in our Certificate of Analysis than required by usual standards.

Our purity definition is metals based, i.e. it is a calculated value based on the actual content of metallic impurities.

Purity = 100% - (content of specified metallic impurities in %)

Please find below a survey of our regular grades. The indicated metals constitute a minimum set, the calculation of purity is nevertheless based on all metals specified on the technical datasheet.

grade

We also monitor anionic impurities which are by definition not included in the calculated purity. Their lot specific contents are listed on our Certificate of Analysis.
In order to determine the appropriate product for your application, please check our detailed specifications of the respective products, or better, discuss with us the impurities which are critical to your application. Due to our experience with various applications, we will be able to recommend a standard product for you, or to tailor a specification according to your particular needs.

We have revised our classification and naming of cesium salt grades fairly recently. So far, our grades were named industrial, technical, pure and highest purity. These terms however led to various misconceptions and a general underestimation of the actual purities of our lower grades. Therefore the change. We are currently adapting all of our supporting material but we cannot avoid that for a certain period of time both denominations will coexist. If you are already a customer and want to be sure that any newly named material is identical to the one you are familiar with you can verify the identity based on our unambiguous product codes.

In order to discover the right purity for your application, please check the detailed specifications of the respective product, or better, discuss with us the impurities which are critical in your application. Due to our experience with various applications, we will be able to recommend a standard product for you, or to tailor a specification according to your particular needs.

Zirconium and Titanium Products:

The classification of Chemetall´s various zirconium and titanium products is not governed by the chemical assay, the different grades available are instead regarded as performance parameters and are defined by a specific interplay of physical properties.
These physical properties are primarily expressed by the ignition point, the combustion rate, the ignition gain and the particle size. For a listing of available grades, please visit the product lists of zirconium and titanium. To receive information on how we measure the above mentioned parameters, please click on "
